Boulogne to Thiepval in 12 consecutive days

As a result of a huge research effort by Bert about Robert Dunsire VC who is buried in Mazingarbe, Nord-Pas-de-Calais,   Bert has planned a Commemoration walk from Boulogne to Thiepval.

Starting on the 9th of June for 12 consecutive days Bert and Brian will be following  in the footsteps of their grandfathers who fought in the First World War and followed this route to the Western Front.

Bert and Brian plan to walk on average around 30 kms per day supported by their wives Susan Hannagh and Pauline Forrester who will provide logistical support.
